Registering for classes for the 2026-27 school year

Starting middle school is a time of great excitement, growth and discovery. Students will register for classes for the upcoming school year between December and January, time frames vary by school.

• Parents of current fifth-grade students will receive mailed communication over Winter Break. This mailing will include a general outline of the registration process, course descriptions for sixth grade choices, and the YELLOW registration form. Note that supplemental band and orchestra information will come home with your 5th graders after Winter Break.
   
• Current sixth-grade students will receive registration information during their Science class on Wednesday, January 7. Students will bring the registration form home to complete with their parents and return the document to their Science class on January 14 to enter into the system.
   
• Current seventh-grade students will receive registration information during their Science class on Thursday, January 8. Students will bring the registration form home to complete with their parents and return the document to their Science class on January 15 to enter into the system.
   
• Current eighth-grade students will receive 2026-27 high school registration information from Andover High School on Monday, January 12 in their Math class. The eigth-grade parent/guardian and student Welcome & Exploration Night is scheduled for Wednesday, January 14 at Andover High School.
   
  • A presentation will be held from 6-6:30 p.m., and then there will be open time for questions until 7 p.m.
  • Registration for current eighth-grader students is due on January 23.

Please work with your student to make careful decisions as they select classes for next school year. Schedules are built and staff are hired based on the number of students who enroll in individual classes. For these reasons, changes to registration selections are not possible after the registration process is completed.
